Car Jumper Hospitalized After Sustaining Personal Injuries in Bizarre Incident.

On January 29, 2013, a North Carolina man leaped onto the hoods of two motor vehicles at an intersection in Wilmington, NC. The man’s bizarre behavior caused the frightened motorists to drive off, injuring the man in the process.

Two vehicles were idling at a railway crossing on Fifth Avenue and Martin Street in Wilmington, when the unidentified man jumped onto the hood of the first vehicle. The surprised driver quickly put the car in reverse, causing the man to fall onto the ground.

Undeterred, the man jumped onto the hood of the second motor vehicle. The second driver jolted the car forward to throw the man off the hood. The driver then used his car to ram the man while he was on the ground.

The man was taken to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center emergency room to receive treatment for serious personal injuries.

Wilmington Police decided not to arrest the second driver, but the police did issue a public statement calling on witnesses to report what they saw in this strange car accident.
