Bob Simon Knew He Was Dying After Car Crash.

Car accidents can result in permanent and even fatal personal injuries. Car accidents are caused by a number of factors, including negligence or recklessness of the driver. The physical harm that is suffered by the victim of a car accident is tragic. Beyond this, the family and caretakers of the victim may face severe financial burdens and emotional struggles, especially if the victim dies as a result of his or her injuries. For all of this suffering, the victim of a car accident, or his survivors, may be entitled to bring a claim or sue for substantial money damages.

CBS news anchor Bob Simon was the victim of a terrible car crash in February 2015 on the streets of New York City. Now, his widow is suing the driver of the limousine, Skyline Credit Ride, the company that employed the driver, and the contractor for Skyline, Travez Transportation. According to the NY Post, Simon’s widow alleges that the crash could have been avoided if the driver, Reshad Abdul Fedahi, was never hired. She argues that Fedahi was woefully unqualified for the position and had a history of reckless driving.

Furthermore, Simon’s widow claims that her husband suffered from extreme and conscious pain following the accident and was constantly fearful of his impending death.

This suit will include elements of personal injury, wrongful death, and vicarious liability. Simon’s widow argues that she should collect punitive damages against the alleged perpetrators because they were reckless in hiring Fedahi. She is also suing for compensatory damages for the pain and suffering that was caused to her husband.
