Braeden Anderson, a sophomore and forward on the basketball team at Fresno State University, has suffered personal injuries in a four-car accident that took place on the night of Tuesday, September 4, 2013 in Fresno, California.
Anderson was the passenger in a 2011 Dodge driven by teammate Kyle Jackson. A multiple car collision took place when an 18 year-old driver lost control of his motor vehicle and crashed into incoming traffic, sending one car flying into the path of Jackson’s Dodge. Jackson swerved to avoid the collision and crashed into a railing.
Several individuals sustained personal injuries in the car accident. 26 year-old Norman Tess, a passenger in one of the cars that were struck by the 18 year-old driver, has died in the auto crash. Anderson was rushed to the emergency room at the Community Regional Medical Center for medical treatment and evaluation. The specifics of Anderson’s injuries have not been released, but his neck is not broken and he has control of his extremities. Anderson is expected to make a full recovery and play for Fresno State in the upcoming season.
California Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the causes of the unfortunate car accident that left one person dead and several others injured.
