According to reports out of Kansas City, Kansas, three people were injured in a 9-car accident during Wednesday’s morning commute on Interstate 35.
The auto accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. this past Wednesday on Interstate 35 Northbound, past the Southwest Blvd./Mission Road exit, in Kansas City, Kansas.
Officials say that an overturned van sparked the chain-reaction car accident, which eventually involved a total of nine cars.
Three people were reported as sustaining personal injuries. They were transported to area hospital emergency rooms to receive treatment. The extent of their injuries and their current conditions are not available at this time.
Early investigations suggest that ice on the roadway may have played a factor in the auto crash. The official investigation into the causes of the collision is ongoing.
