His 9-year-old sister, Rinka, survived the tragic crash. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/H81cGFjrG2w\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The family of four was driving towards the Grand Canyon Friday afternoon while enjoying the children\u2019s spring break vacation. The accident occurred on U.S. Route 160 in Arizona after a pickup truck struck the family\u2019s van. <strong>The driver of the pickup, who has not yet been identified, was driving opposite the van and being chased by the Navajo Police Department. <\/strong>During the chase, the truck crossed the centerline, hitting the family\u2019s van head-on. <strong>The pickup truck immediately burst into flames, killing both occupants. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Hirayamas had just moved to Vernon Hills from Holland and were still adjusting to the area. <strong>The 9-year-old girl was the only survivor of the tragic crash.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Car and truck accidents can result in serious life-long personal injuries and even death.
