Burgess, 26, of Providence, Rhode Island, has been charged with drunk driving after <a href=\"http:\/\/www.providencejournal.com\/breaking-news\/content\/20140320-providence-man-faces-dui-after-accident-with-children-on-board.ece\">he got into an auto accident on Route 95 in Pawtucket with two small children, ages 4 and five, in his car<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WEczQaYdmUk\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"400\" height=\"280\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Burgess was charged with driving while intoxicated late Wednesday, March 19, 2014, after police responded to several 911 calls about the accident and arrived to discover Burgess, with two small children in his vehicle.\u00a0 Burgess\u2019 blood alcohol content was three times the legal limit, as it was measured at 0.23 to 0.24 percent.\u00a0 He was not wearing his seatbelt and the children\u2019s booster seats were not installed properly.\u00a0 Fortunately, the children only sustained minor injuries, but they were taken to Hasbro Children\u2019s Hospital, where they were treated for minor injuries and subsequently released to their mother.<\/p>\n<p>Drunk drivers are on the roads every day.\u00a0 Not only do they endanger themselves and other motorists, but also their passengers.
