After the motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead soon after arrival. The motorcyclist was a 62 year-old man named Mark Griffin McCaffrey. Paramedics were called to the scene and rushed the motorcyclist to the hospital. While a full autopsy has not yet been performed, the suspected cause of death is blunt force trauma.<\/p>\n<p>The police car allegedly had its siren and lights on just before the auto crash occurred.\u00a0 The officer was driving westbound when he received a call that required him to turn in the opposite direction.\u00a0 As he was making a U-turn, he collided with the motorcyclist.\u00a0 The intersection itself was known to be dangerous.
