After unsuccessfully attempting to crash her sedan through the gate, she led the Capitol police on a high speed chase around the nation\u2019s seat of government. When she was finally cornered and surrounded by screaming police officers, Carey attempted to drive though police cars and injured a police officer in the process. At this point, the Capitol Police opened fire, killing Carey after firing a dozen shots.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching Carey\u2019s apartment in Stamford, Connecticut in an attempt to ascertain what drove Carey to behave as she did prior to her death. Carey\u2019s friends, family and co-workers are in utter shock to learn that she was the woman in the news reports. It appears that none of Carey\u2019s friends or family knew that she was in Washington D.C. \u00a0Police and federal investigators are unsure how long Carey has spent in the nation\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n<p>Carey\u2019s mother has revealed that Carey suffered from severe post-partum depression after having her child.
