Tyngsboro, MA Bus Driver Accused of Drunk Driving.

Bus driver Erik Paulik is accused of drunk driving following a bus accident Monday in which the special needs bus he was driving rear-ended a school minivan in Tyngsboro, MA. Four special needs students were on board the bus at the time of the bus accident, but no one was injured.

The 37 year-old Paulik was arraigned on OUI and child endangerment charges at the Lowell, MA District Court and is being held on $3,000 bail. Tyngsboro police indicated that Paulik had glassy and bloodshot eyes when he was behind the wheel and had a blood alcohol level of .27. This is over three times the legal limit. Police also allegedly confiscated a 20 oz. water bottle from Paulik with traces of alcohol in it.
