Twenty-one-year-old Lily Reid has recently been charged with drunk driving after she collided into a state police Ford Explorer with her 2010 Chevy Malibu. The collision took place this past week at approximately 1:30 AM, and officials have reported that Reid was inebriated at the time. Reid struck the trooper’s vehicle while he was inspecting another accident between two other vehicles. Neither driver of the other two vehicles were injured, but the same cannot be said of the trooper.
The trooper’s name has not yet been revealed, but according to bostonherald.com, he is a part of Troop E, the troop that patrols the Boston tunnel system along with the Mass Pike. His injuries were severe enough to require immediate medical attention and he was sent by Boston EMS ambulance to Tufts Medical Center. Fortunately, the trooper’s injuries were non-life threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.
