32 year-old Ruchita Pandya was pronounced dead at the scene of a three-car accident on December 4th at around 5:15 p.m.
A 2001 Toyota Tundra driven by William Mark Lehr was heading in the opposite direction of Pandya when Lehr crossed the center line of Route 140 and hit Pandya’s 2007 Toyota Corolla. During the course of the wrongful death auto accident, Pandya struck a Mercedes SGL320 driven by Charles Winter. Winter’s vehicle overturned onto the eastbound shoulder.
Winter suffered only minor personal injuries. Lehr was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Traffic was stalled for several hours following the wrongful death motor vehicle collision. Police are still investigating the car accident.
