Tragedy fell upon a Dorchester, MA family when their five-year old boy ran out into the street near his home on Whitten Street and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The young boy, Christopher Huynh, lived with his grandmother. He had been playing near the street with another child when a woman driving a car with two other occupants struck him. Neighbors then heard screams and rescuers tried to revive the child – without success – in the middle of the street.
The little boy was taken to the Boston Medical Center emergency room with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead the next day. The car accident remains under investigation, but no charges or citations have yet been filed against the female driver.
